Mill Road Winter Fair is a celebration of the area's community. It is always on the first Saturday in December and this year it will take place on 1st December. The main purposes of the Fair are to:
The fair is run by a voluntary Committee which meets throughout the year, elected at an AGM in March. It's role is to provide a framework in which people can do their own thing. A perfect mixture of organised spontaneity!
The 2011 Fair was on Saturday 3rd December and it was the biggest and best fair yet. There was a full road closure along Mill Road from East Road to Coleridge Road and activities and street events happened throughout the day.
There are many many ways to get involved with the Fair.
We really look forward to hearing from people who wish to participate in the Fair and who want to help make it another great and *special* event. More details about who to contact when about what will be added to the website as planning for the 2012 Fair unfolds.
