Changes and Updates 2017

The information on this page shows what happened at the 2017 Fair. Information on the 2018 Fair will appear here a few weeks before Fair day.

The following performances have been moved from Donkey Common and will now take place in a gazebo on Petersfield Common instead: Holly Jean 'n Co at 12.45pm, Cambridge University Flute Choir at 1.45pm, and Red Thomas at 2.45pm.

Colonel Spanky's Love Ensemble will play at 3.45pm at Ditchburn Gardens.

The Boxwood Chessmen will play at 11.45am outside Cycle King.

Chloe & Gianni will perform at 2.45pm at Tenison Road, and 3.45pm at Avenue of Limes.

Souls' Café Gospel Singers will perform at 3.45pm outside Cycle King.

Youth With A Mission Gospel Choir will perform at 11am at EF and 1.45pm outside the Co-op.

Brandon Lawrence will perform at 11am outside Cycle King, and 1.45pm at EF.

The Coleridge Carnival Crew from Parkside Federation will perform with 40 drummers and dancers at 11am in Great Eastern Street Car Park.

Unfortunately, Gog Magog Molly will not be able to perform.

Cambridge Chord Company will no longer be able to perform.

Talks and performances at Anglia Ruskin University will be as follows:

  • JJ Puppets – Christmas puppet show for families and children aged 3-13. 11-11.35am, 1.30-2.05pm, 2.30-3.05pm, 3.30-4.05pm
  • The View from Mill Road Bridge – Tony Kirby will talk about Cambridge’s railway infrastructure from 1845 to the present and its impact on the local townscape. 11-11.45am and 2.30-3.15pm
  • Royal Scottish Country Dance Society – Demonstration of Scottish country dances and ceilidh with audience participation. 12-1pm
  • Cambridge Groove Orchestra – The Big Band performance. 1.15-2.15pm
