There are events, activities and special offers in many of the shops, restaurants and other businesses all along Mill Road, and in some of the side streets, at different times all day long.
The Mayor formally opens the Mill Road Winter Fair at 10.30am at Ditchburn Gardens.
The very popular Food Fair is now bigger than ever, with stalls in Gwydir Street Car Park and St Barnabas Road. There are stalls offering a fantastic range of food and drink - ready to eat, to take home or to give as gifts. The Food Stalls page will have information about each individual stall when it is finalised.
Stalls are dotted along various places on Mill Road: in the marquee and outside on Petersfield, on Donkey Common, in Ditchburn Gardens, on Romsey Parade, and more. Look on the Stalls page when it is finalised to see what happens at each location. The marquee on Petersfield is open to the public at 10.00am. Click to see a map of where these venues are on Mill Road.
Mill Road Art is this year in Romsey Mill, also on the map. Visitors can view and purchase the work of local artists.
There are busking spots with musicians and choirs along the length of Mill Road as well as in Ditchburn Gardens, at the Food Fair in Gwydir Street Car Park, at Argyle Street Housing Co-operative, in the Ironworks site and in Lloyds Bank Car Park. Look on the Performers page to see who is playing where.
Later in the day live music continues at Argyle Street Housing Co-operative. Come along to the party after the Fair finishes and enjoy some fabulous music!
Many of the restaurants, shops and businesses along Mill Road take part in the Fair by staging their own events, providing special dishes and offers, or raising money for charity.
Browse through a copy of the 2019 Mill Road Winter Fair brochure, which features details of events at the Fair and a map of venues.
There is plenty of music at designated busking spots, in Lloyds Bank Car Park and at Argyle Street Housing Co-operative car park after the Fair - as well as all along Mill Road.
