The information below is a description from the 2022 Fair to show what kind of things take place at the Fair.

At the 2022 Fair, Donkey Common will have a mix of food and drink, market and craft stalls.

Petersfield Green will also have food and drink, market and craft stalls, plus the mysterious, meditative labyrinth. At Covent Garden, there will be a full day of film screenings in the ARU Drama Centre. There will be tours of Mill Road Cemetery at 11.30am and 2.00pm, and Mill Road History Society will also run a history tour at 8.45am the morning of the Fair.

Ditchburn Gardens will have live music, craft stalls, hot food and mulled wine. Nearby, the Cambridge Mosque on Mawson Road will host activities, and the Salvation Army Centre on Tenison Road/Mill Road will have an indoor children’s venue, live music, refreshments, and indoor stalls.

The food fair will be based in the Gwydir Street Car Park and on St Barnabas Road. Nearby, there will be live music and children’s activities at St Barnabas Church, tai chi on the street, and more children’s activities courtesy of University of Cambridge Museums and Cambridge Storytellers to the rear in the St Barnabas Centre, as well as down the steps beside the bridge at Railway House. There will also be activities in the Bath House, and in the garden of the David Parr House. There will also be yoga at the Bodywise Studio above Dales Brewery on Gwydir Street.

The Argyle Street Housing Co-op will host their usual live music and stalls. Cambridge 105 will broadcast live from outside the former Tescos. The Fair’s HQ will be in the rear of Mill Road Baptist Church, with a quiet space in the church itself. St Philip’s Church is planning a fabulous programme of indoor, family-friendly events and activities.

Back by popular demand, the Shake Your Tail Feather live music spot can be found on the corner of Thoday Street, and the Salisbury Club will be open for interactive activities arranged by Cambridge Hands-On Science.

Please continue to the warm welcome at Romsey Mill, where there will be a fabulous art show and festive activities for all the family. Look out too for the artists participating in Mill Road Open Studios in the streets nearby.

Many of the restaurants, shops and businesses along Mill Road also take part in the Fair by staging their own events, providing special dishes and offers, or raising money for charity.
