The steel band from the Cambridge University Steel Pan Society is a very friendly group of pannists wanting to share steelpan music in Cambridge. We perform a variety of genres, including but not limited to soca, jazz, soul, and pop.

We play the hottest (and loudest!) of Brazilian carnival rhythms. Our repertoire includes a range of different pieces, from traditional Brazilian and Cuban rhythms to original pieces written by our members. You'll hear everything from funk to reggae and everything inbetween.

Ki Luna + Mousey B

An acoustic amalgamation of reggae, folk, punk and hip-hop with aggressively political lyrics that focus on cathartic reclamation of power presented through poetry, fast rap and catchy melodies.

DJ Provincia

Provincia is a Mexican DJ, bringing sounds from their homeland and other places South. No drama. Deep breaths. Twerk slowly on your own. Queer reguetón, neoperreo, and Latin American bangers will keep you warm.

Break the Code

Break the Code is a collective of artists. We bring together MCs, vocalists, music producers and DJs. Our main emphasis is on MCs with conscious political lyrics and a party vibe aka the ‘Rapt-tivists’. 2023 festival season has seen a womxn Drum N Bass flex! We are artists repping the activist movement as well as being a credible emerging music label!

Bosslady

DJ and Producer Bosslady started mixing back in 2006 making moves in the underground dance music scene, flawlessly spinning ragga jungle records on the turntables. She quickly built a reputation for extremely heavy tune selection and tight mixing skills leaving the dance floor in flames, seriously this girl is all killers no fillers and she definitely takes no prisoners!

Ed Cox

LIFE4LAND’s co founder Ed Cox’s ‘CLOWNCORE’ has had international recognition due to his unique performances. Fusing traditional music with ska, jungle and breakcore, Ed Cox wraps the lot in his live performances whilst playing the accordion.

Apex HiFi featuring Jeff Levi and Sim Simma

Apex HiFi, promoting roots and culture, reggae dubwise vibrations. Selections from Jimi Steppa and vocals by Jeff Levi and Sim Simma. Apex HiFi is a community-based sound system, bringing the community together through roots reggae music. Vibes to uplift, edify, decolonise your mind and dance how you feel. Come as you are, music for the heart.
