Mill Road Fringe

The Mill Road Winter Fair Committee doesn’t just organise the annual Winter Fair. Thanks to funding from Love Mill Road, we also run Mill Road Fringe events throughout the year. These nurture and celebrate Mill Road’s creativity by delivering local projects and encouraging community interaction.

The 2024 Mill Road Fringe programme of community events is underway. It includes:

  • Mill Road EcoChic Fashion Show on Saturday 2 March – a fashion show with a difference which featured clothes from Mill Road’s fabulous charity and vintage shops, plus pop-ups from local designers.
  • Summer Shindig at Romsey Rec on Sunday 14 July – a relaxed mini festival with live music and family fun.
  • A series of Poetry Evenings at Hot Numbers – the huge success of the Fringe’s poetry evenings over the past couple of years has generated a new Mill Road Poetry Group, which will host four meetings in 2024. The spring series is Thursday 14 March and Thursday 30 May; the autumn series will be Thursday 10 October and Thursday 28 November.
  • A Film Event at the ARU Covent Garden Drama Centre on Saturday 21 September – showcasing arthouse films curated to reflect Mill Road’s spirit of creativity, diversity and independence.
  • Our inaugural Comedy Evening at Thrive on Norfolk Street on Friday 18 October – featuring award-winning comic, Kit Loyd, the evening will run from 7pm to 9pm. Please do get in touch via [email protected] if you’d like to be involved.

More information and tickets will be available here, with links to reserve tickets for indoor venues.

All Mill Road Fringe events are funded by charity Love Mill Road, which underpins so many of the community activities that make the Mill Road neighbourhood special, including the annual Mill Road Winter Fair.

Please help to expand this wonderful network of community activity by a donation to Love Mill Road or by getting involved – or both!
